Photograph Archiving: Your photographs are scanned, usually at a minimum resolution of 300 ppi, then saved in a file format of your choosing ( TIFF or JPG/JPEG). The scanned versions are then transferred to archival quality cds/dvds so that future generations can enjoy high quality images any time they wish. The products that we use for digital archving have manufacturer's lifespan estimates of 100 years for dvds and 300 years for cds. Guideline Pricing for Archival Scanning: Photographs scanned up to a resolution of 600 ppi: $1.00/per photo : 1 -40 Negatives or Slides scanned up to a resolution of 1200 ppi: $1.50/negative/slide: 1-40 Archival Quality Discs: Dvd - $25.00
